Nikko is Nippon

After roughing it a couple more days in Tokyo with my Fuji legs and saying goodbye to my German friends Frank and Claudio, I decided it was time to get some fresh air. So I headed to Nikko, where I found a guest house actually run by a Buddhist monk and spent two days exploring the countryside and local temples.

It was also here where I had my intro into Japanese Onsen (natural spring) culture. It`s amazing, this water comes directly out of the mountain at 110 degree F. If you close your eyes as to avoid the naked crowds wading in close proximity, it`s rather idyllic.
